Harvest Health care will provide a care worker to support you with your personal care needs. This varies from client to client, our carers are trained to support you with a strip wash, full bed wash, shower, bath, hair wash, foot wash, dressing and maintaining your personal appearance, sharing, applying lotions and creams, applying makeup, support with changing continence pads, changing and maintaining stoma or catheta bags. Help with toileting and using commodes and bed pans
We provide a care worker to those who are liable to becoming lonely. A care worker spends time with you helping with tasks like playing games, going with simple tasks like public means or transporting service users in the care workers care. A carer companion is also available to accompany a service user on holidays and going out for shopping, to the pubs. A carer companion is to ensure that service users are not lonely and can access the community.
Our carer qorkers are trained to support needs from reminding them to take their medication in timely manner. Assisting with administrating medication for service users who are not able to manage their medication. This is done through ordering for medication from GPs and pharmacists and also pick or collecting the medication. We support with applying medicated creams, eye/ear drops, applying patches, light and tablet. Our car workers are also trained to apply medication through PEG tubes.
Harvest provides a care worker to stay in your home overnight to attend to your overnight needs like changing pads and using the toilet during the night. To also reassure service users who are at risk of galling off during the night. Overnight carers also provide relief to family members who require a break during the night. Our overnight care includes sleep-in care where the care worker is to be awake throughout the night to undertake any care needs a service user may have.
Respite Care is temporary relief for the primary caregivers. Harvest provides a respite care in your own home whether for just a few hours a week or an extended vacation.
